You do not have a dark elixir storage

Here is a scenario:
You do not have a dark elixir  Kingdoms Of Camelot Gems  storage, but it allows you to buy a Barbarian King if you use gems to buy the 'remaining dark elixir'. If you spend the gems to get the dark elixir for the Barbarian King, will it work even if you don't have a storage for it?

Another:
Your gold storages are full with 1 mil gold, Buy Cheap Kingdoms Of Camelot Gems  but you need 2 mil for TH 8. You click on upgrade TH and it asks if you want to buy the 'remaining gold' with gems.  Kingdoms Of Camelot Gems Would it allow you, even if you don't have the space?

Please answer and sorry if this has already been answered.  Buy Cheap Kingdoms Of Camelot Gems I have already tried google to no avail.
